KEY ASPECTS
WHY IT MATTERS
A driving cycle (or any generic operating cycle) is usually defined in order to represent real operating conditions of an application as much accurately as possible, whether it is a regulation-defined standard cycle of a specific use-case one.
Thus, it is very important that the behaviour of the electric motor driving the application is simulated as much accurately as possible, so not to nullify the concept of the defined cycle itself.
In this regard, the thermal behaviour of the Electric Motor highly depends on its power losses variation, which in turn depend on the Electric Motor temperatures evolving during the defined cycle: multiphysics electromagnetic and thermal simulation is therefore mandatory.

WHAT WE CAN DO
We can accurately simulate the behaviour of the electric motor during a defined driving cycle by adjusting its power losses distribution based on the evolving temperatures of the electric motor itself; moreover, dependencies on battery voltage, inverter current and inverter switching frequencies are also taken into account.
The “co-simulation” is entirely run on a Matlab-Simulink environment, leading to results that are accurate, quick to achieve and easy to integrate with other toolchain sections.
We can to integrate electromagnetic results from Best-In-Class softwares and thermal parameters from BestInClass thermal networks – keeping high accuracy of results and improving simulation velocity.
GENERATED VALUE
Achieving this level of precision requires advanced tools capable of accurate electromagnetic and thermal analyses. Also managing system level and integration tools allow to integrate results from Best-In-Class software output. Here are some of the leading solutions trusted by engineers worldwide:
MoBeLIV is your R&D partner from the idea to the prototype
MoBeLIV focuses from idea generation (or pre-concept) to an A-sample, proven for the key features, increasing the likelyhood of further implementation. Our skills can also be used with other experts for later product stages, such as upgrades, optimization, and minor improvements for the next generation.
We believe in holistic approach combining both deep technical skills & management competences. With our multidisciplinary team, we offer strategic, technological, and engineering consulting for e-Mobility and mechatronic projects, providing both hardware and software solutions.
